Solarpraxis Engineering GmbH was founded in January 2014 as a spin-off of the former engineering department of Berlin-based Solarpraxis AG and from then on Mr Felix Eichhorn was responsible as Managing Director.

The core of the company was and is the engineering, which has been operating under the name Solarpraxis Engineering GmbH since 1 January 2014.

Still a wholly owned subsidiary of Solarpraxis AG until autumn 2015, Solarpraxis Engineering GmbH is now an independent company based in Berlin Tempelhof.

In 2017, Solarpraxis Engineering GmbH joined the Berlin Chamber of Crafts and was included in the register of craftsmen. The company is also listed in the installer directory of the local grid operator “Stromnetz Berlin GmbH”.

From 2016 to 2018, the specialist area of glare effects was initially established in close cooperation with the Berlin Chamber of Industry and Commerce. After the department was established, Mr Wolfgang Rosenthal was appointed as a publicly appointed and sworn expert by the IHK Berlin. As a member of the Berlin Chamber of Construction, Mr Rosenthal is one of the very few national and international experts in this field.

Another milestone was reached in December 2020 with the component certification for its 4110- EZA controllers.

Since 2020, Solarpraxis Engineering GmbH has focused solely on the business areas of EPC, measurement and control technology, and Operation & Maintenance. Mr Rosenthal continues to oversee all projects relating to the glint and glare reports as well as disputes before the courts in the event of any questions.

From 2021, Mr Karl-Heinz Remmers will again support the events of Solarpaxis Engineering GmbH as an advisory board member.

With the founding of the subsidiaries “Solarpraxis Services GmbH” and “Solarpraxis Anlagenbau GmbH“, operations & maintenance management and EPC was outsourced in 2023.
